Working at height on a roof means working with the risk of a fall. To prevent falls from height, fall protection measures need to be taken by building owners or employers, as they are responsible for a safe workplace. To ensure safety Aluform has partnered with XSPlatforms to offer fall protection for Aluform roof profiles. With XSPlatforms’ XTrusion base plate both single anchor point systems and horizontal lifeline systems can be created. The modular nature of the products makes it easy to install a fall protection system for any roof project. The XTrusion is easy to install by means of special clamps which provide an extremely strong connection between the roof profile and the anchorage point.

Single anchor point – XSGlobe eye on XTrusion
A single anchor point with a 360° rotating safety eye. While attached to this single anchor point a user can work in a circle around the anchor. To move between anchor points a user needs to attach to the next anchor point and detach from the first anchor point.
Horizontal lifeline system – XSLinked on XTrusion
A steel cable track running through multiple anchorage points. With a horizontal lifeline system a user can move along a line trajectory over the roof surface. This allows for greater freedom of movement compared to a single anchor point. Depending on the system type and the installation method the system can be used by 1 to 3 users at a time.
